of course it will!
the latest addition to our household is *not* a blendtec. man i was so disappointed to find the will it blend? stuff on you tube is viral marketing and not just some nutter in the style of the coke and mentos dudes. and if you don't know what i'm talking about, check it out here.
but back to our lovely new toy. it's a breville professional grade blender. not a vita-mix, i decided they're too damn ugly to pay that much money for (two speed version is £450) but our baby has 1000 watts of pulverising power, looks pretty and cost considerably less at £125. more details here.
we've tried it out on a couple of recipes and two things we've learnt are: one, it sounds like an aeroplane is about to crash through the roof. no wonder tanja wears ear protectors. and two, we're scared of really going for it and wimp out with little prods at the pulse button. but i'm sure we'll get a feel for it and learn to use it with confidence.
best thing so far was recreating karen's wonderful raspberry sorbet from last weekend. we had seconds and all. what a dream.
