i told you a couple of days back that i'd won tickets for said show thanks to shinyshiny. i was hoping we could go for the whole weekend, or maybe even take the friday off and travel up then, so we could fit in some sightseeing too. yes, i know, birmingham is not exactly the world's most attractive city but between photos of spaghetti junction for boo's flickr account and a trip to the new selfridges building (drool) i figured we could make a decent weekend of it.
but this was not to be. boo had late friday and early saturday work to do (and there's something to whine about; this weekend work is taking its toll) so at best we'd have to dash over saturday afternoon and come back sunday. but then, aha! i was stricken with bronchitis. all bets were off.
so, i'm currently at home, spending most of the day in bed with just the occasional sojourn to the living room to check email and absorb some quality daytime tv.
we'll just have to try again in later this year when the same show comes to londinium. it will be much harder to miss next time around.
