talking to steve yesterday and he asked for more "fat stats". so here you go.
i'm actually pleased he prompted me to do this, as writing things down is a good way to focus. you can let the weeks slip by without making progress but if you have a weekly check-in, which, in my case, involves getting weighed, totting up my weekly syns and writing it all down here, you keep yourself focussed on progress and goals. so that's a long-winded way of saying "thanks, steve."

so for two weeks, despite planning ahead, i managed to mess up a couple of times by getting home late without the ingredients i needed and succumbing to supermarket prepared food. also had a houseguest for the weekend and we went out and spent a great afternoon sitting around drinking and eating in PizzaExpress - not blaming you, toa, just pointing it out.
ok, i'm getting to the point. so i think i've lost a pound over the past 2 weeks. that's not so good. but on the bright side we've started going to the gym and are trying to fit it into our routine. went for my induction:part two on wednesday and on friday morning, at 6.30, we went for our first real before-work workout. although this means getting up early and still getting to work late i think that's better than trying to go in the evenings, after work. i missed yoga last week cos i was just too tired and headachey by the time 7.30 came around.
wanna see my yoga stuff? i bought a beginner's kit here and when i'm slightly slimmer and richer i'll treat myself to some gorgeous yoga clothes from here.
though we've both complained of aches and pains from working muscles that've lain dormant for decades we also both had a bundle more energy for the couple of days after working out. i just hope we can stick it out and get some results. size 12 by christmas? maybe not, but it's worth a try.
